The Rockaway Renegades are an all volunteer based, direct action group committed to the cleanup and relief effort currently underway in the Rockaways following the devastation left behind by Hurricane Sandy.
On Thursday November 1st, in the wake of Superstorm Sandy, a small group of volunteers caravanned from Greenpoint, Brooklyn to the Far Rockaways. When we arrived the devastation far exceeded our expectations, and we committed right then and there to continue helping those in need.
